New Eboot Loader For The PSP

psp_2Dlarger56734ss_thumb.jpgDO U HOMEBREW? Of course you do, that’s why Sony hates you. Enough rhyme. The new bootloader has come out for firmware 2.0 and it’s got the goods. This version,0.7, has a lot of nice new features. You can now exit back to the loader if a program has an exit function. Most importantly, emulation is back. SNES and Game Gear (like you were just dying to play Game Gear) support is back in version 0.7. There’s also a multitude of horrible homemade games out there that will also work with version 2.0, ya know, in case you get bored of GTA: LCS. Now that’s not the only news however. Some idiot out there decided to make a fake PSP unbricker. Yes, it pretends to unbrick your PSP, but actually doesn’t. It’s just a renamed Winamp installer. Way to go loser.

GTA: Liberty City Stories Side Missions Detailed

source: gamesradar

GTA_LCS_FOB_BBFC_jpg_jpgcopy

In addition to the game’s main narrative, Liberty City Stories will include a generous array of GTA’s trademark side missions - which you can read about here for the first time ever.

Whether it’s destroying cars with a fire truck, or jumping on a scooter to deliver noodles, there’s no shortage of leisure-time activities throughout the three boroughs of Portland, Staunton and Shoreside Vale.

And in the process, you’ll be able to earn more cash, unlock secret items or simply explore the city.

Read on for the full low-down of what’s on offer…

Trashmaster

You won’t be surprised to learn that Liberty City is a dirty town, packed with dumpsters full of old noodle containers, rotting salami… and the discarded corpses of whacked stool-pigeons.

Trashmaster allows players to jump aboard a rubbish truck, before you then have to race against the clock to collect all of the dumpsters from around the city and get them to the junkyard in time for a hefty reward.

Karmageddon

If Liberty City didn’t have enough to deal with - thanks to the gang violence, Mafiosi dealings and political corruption - the metropolis now has to worry about commandeered fire trucks.

Get involved with Karmageddon and your task is simply to steal a fire truck and then cause as much chaos as you can with it by destroying every other vehicle in your path. The bigger the crash combos that you can nail, the faster you’ll complete the mission and the bigger the bonuses.

Noodle Punk

Once you’ve learned to navigate your way around Liberty City, this is the perfect opportunity to make use of your local knowledge. Noodle Punk is a classic side job in which you can grab any of the of the Noodleboy scooters at the noodle restaurant and start making deliveries.

You have to make as many deliveries as you can before the takeaways get cold and, carrying six boxes at once, you’ll have to be quick. Make some fast drop-offs and you’ll be suitably rewarded.

Car Salesman

We never thought we’d say it, but this is your chance to transform Toni Cipriani into Swiss Toni.

Head on over to the auto dealership in Saint Mark’s on Portland, and you’ll be able to play Car Salesman which, as the name suggests, sees players having to take the denizens of Liberty City for test drives in order to convince them to buy new vehicles.

There are four different sets of wheels on the lot - off-road, sports, family and muscle cars - each of which has a potential customer stood next to it. Every punter wants something different, so you’ll need to pay attention to their requests as you take them for a spin.

A customer’s satisfaction - and the chance that they’ll buy the car - is increased if you drive according to their preference. But whether they want you to take it slow or show off, you need to be careful not to damage the car.

A successful test drive will earn you a commission, along with a time bonus which is added to the next test drive. The quicker the sale, the bigger the cash bonus will be. As you make more sales, you’ll also unlock new cars for you to ‘test drive’ yourself.

Insane Stunt Jumps

As you’d expect, there’s also no shortage of insane stunt jumps in LCS. Using the speed of the PCJ600 bike and other new vehicles, players will be able to soar over the many ramps, hills and jumps found around Liberty City, while gaining further monetary funds in the process. Result.

Thanks for the heads up Muratcan =)

Duck Hunt Extreme for PSP

Duckhuntextreme_20051023

JoJaSc has released a game called Duck Hunt Extreme. Duck Hunt Extreme is a mod of the Attack of the mutants, originally by DeNitro.

This game is an arcade shooting game. You shoot from the red cross hair, to all the 4 directions with all the 4 buttons. Kill the small ducks while dodging them and the large ones (they are still called asteroids :P ), some laser cannons and black bad guys shooting at you. There are also boss battles in the game. I managed to pass the first boss in Level 10 just now. ;)

The original author is encouraging modding actively in our forums. He even posted some directions in our forums, you can discuss about it in our forums [here]. The job you really have to do is some art work. Have fun and make your own creative mod!

You can get Duck Hunt Extreme in our PSP download section [here].

Thanks to JoJaSc for the mod and the email! We are considering your suggestion. =D

Nintendo Revolution Controller

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream features commentary and impressions on the Nintendo Revolution Controller from developers at Nintendo, Sega, Namco, Konami and more. IGN has a round up of comments.

Ken Sugimori (Game Freak, art director of Pokemon): Sugimori was surprised when he first saw the controller. He feels that many people have been thrown off from gaming due to increased button counts of controllers, but states that it takes a good amount of courage to actually decide to reduce the number. “You’ll be able to do things with the Revolution that you could never do with consoles before,” he says, adding with a laugh, “Personally, it’s the kind of hardware where, more than making games, I’d rather play them.”

Hironobu Sakaguchi (Mistwalker — father of Final Fantasy): “When I first saw it, I thought ‘It’s great!’ and ‘It’s just like Nintendo!’ It makes you feel like you’re actually touching the screen. In that sense, you could say that it’s an extension of the DS, but it’s actually very different.” Pointing out that the controller allows for a wide variety of actions, he adds, “When shown such a new concept, software makers are, even as just normal people, left excited.”

Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Now In Retail Stores

The PC version of the Xbox 360 wired controller is now available at stores like Best Buy, RadioShack, and OfficeMax. The catch is that you have to be persistent with some of them about the fact that it is okay for them to sell the item. Earlier at Best Buy, I had to break it down old-school to the Media Supervisor about the difference between the Windows version and the official Xbox 360 versions as far as street dates go. If you gotta have one, then fly over to Japan on November 23rd and pick one up in Akihabara. Chances are the boys at Lik-Sang will be glad to order you one as well. Sony is all hush hush as far as pricing goes so no word yet on that.
