The mTUNE-N Cordless Stereo Headset

By David Ponce

Holy jumping Jehosphat! This headset rocks! Do away with the cords, and the radio signals altogether by getting the $50 mTUNE-N cordless stereo headset, specifically designed for the iPod nano. Simply insert the player into the specially designed slot and listen away.

Sure, you don’t actually see what’s playing, and yeah, switching songs might be a pain (though, apparently, they’re thought about giving you access to the clickwheel). Plus, you’ll probably look like a bit of a douche… but well, man, look at the thing! It folds, doesn’t need batteries (pulls juice from the player?) and well.. yeah, that’s it.

Check it out right here. Story VIA Techie Diva.

Solar Power Source for Mobile Phones and iPod

MySoldius has announced the release of the Soldius1, the world’s first portable solar power source for iPods and mobile phones. They seem to be marketing it mainly to the iPod market, but adapters are available for more than 250 models of mobile phones. With the extra demands on our batteries due to the photo and video capabilities of our devices, the ability to recharge on the go is more needed than ever. The device folds in half and it’s light enough to fit in your shirt pocket and go with you wherever you need it. It generates enough power from the sun to fully recharge your device batteries in just 2 or 3 hours. It’s easy to use; you just plug it in and point it towards the sun

The Soldius1ranges in cost from $89.99 to $109.99 and is available from the mysoldius website. via - Mobilemag

Macally Nano Headphones Sans Cord

Macally has a sleek pair of headphones that has a built-in iPod Nano Dock. You gotta wonder if the weight is lopped sided once docked, but nonetheless provides cord free listening.

Apparently, there was a Shuffle version (mTune) that debuted last month.

Remove iPod Nano Scratches for $4

So the story goes something like this: You save up a couple hundred bucks to buy your new iPod Nano. You take it home, open the box, and load your music. It’s a beautiful thing.

Then disaster strikes! You decide to carry your iPod Nano in your pocket! Your pocket! How could you?! What were you thinking? An item as precious and delicate as the iPod Nano was not meant for portability. And the ungodly amount of scratches seen on my iPod Nano prove it. After a few failed attempts to get Apple to help me out, I decided to fix the scratches myself.

Here is how to remove the scratched from your iPod Nano for only $4.

Digital Cube i-Station i2: Review

Trusted Reviews has reviewed this portable media player (PMP). The i-Station i2 is something a little out of the ordinary, not because of its size, screen resolution or storage capacity, but rather because it has a touch sensitive screen much like a PDA.

The good:

- playing DivX, XviD, MPEG
- touch screen
- good size and weight
- battery life (7 hours for video and 13 hours for music)
- transfer speed of 18 MB/s

The bad:

- low resolution screen

Sony NW-A608/SI Special Winter Package

Just when I thought I had one of the best looking mp3 players around, Sony goes and does it again by toping their design once.

sonya600si.jpg

This product is specified as a luxury product. I thought they were exagerating, however, after converting the 52k Yen they’re asking for it I gave up all hope of ever wanting to have one: Around $450 (Shipping not included). A bit too much for a 2GB mp3 player… even if it looks as good as this one.
