XRay LED Watch

xraythumb.jpgI have a soft spot for LED watches and the guy who sells these, Simon in the UK, comes out with a new one every fifteen minutes or so. This is the XRay, which looks kind of like a TV. Brushed case, red face, and sexy glowing numerals. What more could you ask for?

He’s got this limited edition series priced at about $100. Much less bulbous than the Space version and it looks quite fetching with a pocket protector and an Altair.

Self Stirring Mug

This stainless steel mug acts like any other…well, almost! Press the ’stir’ button on the handle and the built-in propeller in the base of the mug (£12.99) starts stirring your drink for you. In a flash you have perfectly stirred coffee, tea, hot chocolate or even soup in a cup. Prefect for tea and coffee lovers who can’t be bothered with the mighty effort needed to stir for two seconds.

Fridge Magnet Bottle Opener

This stainless steel beer bottle opener ($24.13) sticks to the front of your fridge thanks to a super strong magnet. The opener allows you to lever your bottle top off, in one quick and easy action. It looks pretty funky too - it’s made from polished stainless steel - and has a non-scratch rubber magnet so is kind to your fridge door. Probably the most useful fridge magnet in the world!

iPod Jacket by Kenpo

Los Angeles clothing design firm, Kenpo, has released an iPod jacket. The jacket, designed to work with iPod and iPod minis (huh – minis are phasing out, right?), is tech meets style. The jacket is machine washable and requires no batteries for operation. Just simply plug in the iPod and then use the keypad located on the arm to control. As you will notice, the product and its site Kenpo.com are sporting the now uber expensive ‘Made for iPod’ tag.

MP3 Toilet

musictoilet.jpg

Watch out iPod! Ok, maybe not, but still a Japanese company is exploiting the MP3 market where no other company ever has: in your toilets.

Their specialized toilets not only raise the seat when you get near them they are also heated so you won’t feel the coldness of the marble. And now, in their latest versions, you can plug in an SD card on box besides the toilet and listen to music!

Who knows if Apple after hearing this won’t start to really consider making the iCrap we saw a few months ago.

I crap to Kemopetrol, what do you crap to? (I know, this is the worst tag-line ever.)

This:

Is one of the newest accessories for the iPod Shuffle. It’s going on sale for $50. I don’t really know what else to say… this the most pointless accessory I’ve ever seen.

The C-Plus Board Game

By David Ponce

You are a code ninja. C runs in your veins. Instead of Alpha Bits, you eat Binary Bits. You compile in your dreams and recite p-code in the shower.

You have been granted a great and wonderful gift. And by Jove, so will your children! You will teach them.

They will learn.

And you’re going to start with this: a fantabulous board game called “c-jump: Ski & Snowboard Race”. It is being marketed to kids ages 11 and up, and

it teaches the child basic commands of a programming language, such as “if”, “else”, “switch”, and introduces variable “x” concept.

So not only does this look like some wonderful geeky family fun, proceedings from the sale of this product also support Common Text Transformation Library, an open source programming project on the internet.

It’s $22 plus $7 shipping. Check out the product page. Story VIA Gadget Garden.
