iWood nano
As if the world needed another fancy schmancy iPod case, here comes Miniot with a luxury-line wooden case made just for the iPod nano. The iWood (well that was imaginative) is carefully carved out of a single piece of wood, and consumers can choose from five different grains; maple, mahogany, pear, wenge, and walnut. And to make it even more special is an offer of monogram engraving with a two line message inside the lid. Once the iWood is closed, only the headphone jack is accessible, and you’ll have to open it up to access the sync-connector.
But what’s even more intriguing is the appearance of this curious sample engraving we saw on the site:
That’s right, it says “For Melinda with love, Bill.” Which we’re guessing is referring to none other than Mr. and Mrs. Gates. So is this a real engraving that Bill gave to his wife? Or is Miniot trying to give the iWood some geek cred by purposely placing this photo of the engraving on the site? Interesting strategy there, Miniot. Don’t know if it’ll work, but interesting.
From the site, it says the iWood will ship later this month, though we have no word on pricing. Another pic of the iWood after the jump.
